Digital skills for women, Spanish Digital Award



STEM Talent Girl project develops innovative educational programmes to make science and technology available for your girls with first-class mentors, to boost and encourage their digital skills, since early ages.
STEM Talent Girl project hase different programmes for the development of talent and encouragement of STEM vocations in girls in their 3rd and 4th years of secondary school via master classes and shadowing sessions with mentors.
It is comprised of three educational modules: TALENT SEARCH (For the proactive identification of talent.), MASTER CLASS (To enrich knowledge, develop skills and come into contact with relevant women in the area of STEM.), SHADOWING SESSIONS (To experience professional profiles in the STEM sector with real contexts, in first person and accompanied by mentors.).
Moreover, students on the programme also participate in events organised by telef├│nica open future_ under the framework of its womenÔÇÖs age programme, which is a great initiative to boost employability and create new job opportunities for women.

The STEM Talent Girl project has won the "Spanish Digital Award" in the category "Digital skills for women and girls", whose ceremony took place in the First Forum of the Alliance for the Development of Digital Talent organized by AMETIC in collaboration with technology companies and top-level business schools. The best finalist projects in this category along with STEM Talent Girl were Oracle4Girls, Girls in Tech and Inspira STEAM.
The jury of these awards especially valued the impact of the STEM Talent Girl project to educate, inspire and empower the next generation of women leaders in science and technology, as well as its scalability that is possible thanks to the leadership of the Department of Family and Equality of Opportunities of the Junta de Castilla y Le├│n
The ┬źDigital Skills Awards Spain 2018┬╗ identify, value and recognize the best projects and experiences in the field of the development of the enabling talent of the industry 4.0, digital transformation, smart cities, education 4.0 and digital skills training.
